In earlier versions of Mouse’s very first encounter with his imaginary “friend”, the Gruffalo’s hands were treated almost like characters of their own: They walked about, teasing Mouse, bullying him, and eventually chasing him down, all without much effort on the Gruffalo’s part. GRUFFALO & BEAST: TRIPLE VICTORY IN CHICAGO.
“The Gruffalo” and “The Little Boy and The Beast”, together with Soi’s Jakob Schuh, recently visited The Windy City to find that our films had won three awards at the wonderful “27th Chicago International Children’s Film Festival“. “The Gruffalo picked up “The Best of the Fest” and a Second Prize for “Best Animated Short”. “The Little Boy and The Beast” was awarded as “Best Animated Television Production”. We’re very happy, we had a great time there, thank you, fine people of CICFF.
GRUFFALO NOMINATED FOR A “ROSE D’OR”
“The Gruffalo” has been nominated for the prestigious “Rose d’Or” at the 50th International Television Festival, Lucerne.
GRUFFALO WINS AT CURTAS, PORTUGAL
Soi’s Torben Meier recently went to Portugal to accept the “Prémio Curtinhas” at the 18th Curtas International Film Festival. See snapshot above.
BIG IN BRAZIL: TRIPLE VICTORY FOR BEAST & GRUFFALO
We’re delighted to hear that Soi’s “The Gruffalo” has been awarded ‘Best Short for Children’ at Anima Mundi, Sao Paulo, and was a runner up for the same award at Anima Mundi, Rio de Janeiro. Soi’s “The Little Boy and the Beast” won ‘Best Short’ in Sao Paulo and again was the runner up for the same award in Rio. The Professional Jury also awarded Marcus Sauermann’s script for “The Little Boy and the Beast” as ‘Best Script’.
