In October, KIKA screened “Princess’ Painting”, one of our earlier shorts. This month, KIKA is showing another short film of ours about angel Waltraut from 2008. If you want to find out what happens to Waltraud when her behaviour is far from angelic you can watch her this Sunday on KIKA as part of the show Siebenstein.The script was written by Marcus Sauermann. Jakob Schuh and Saschka Unseld directed the film. Angel afoot won the prestigious Annecy Crystal back in the same year. See more images on our website.
Trude lives together with a big obscure beast, which has the power of an elephant, the brashness of a child, but not a clue what’s good manners… ‘Trudes Tier’ (Trude’s Flatmate), directed by Klaus Morschheuser, Johannes Weiland and Michael Bohnenstingl and designed by Sandra Brandstätter and Sebastian Koch, is our latest tv-series project for the children’s tv show ‘Die Sendung mit der Maus’. The episodes will have their tv premiere on Das Erste / KIKA on 27th of April, 4th of May and 11th of May at 11:30 am.

Our 2008 short “Angel afoot” has won the Special Prize of the Jury at this year’s Animago Award in Potsdam. We thank the jury and the terrific team!
Our short “Angel afoot” was selected as one of twelve award nominees for the SIGGRAPH 2009 Computer Animation Festival.
Last year’s “Angel afoot” will be screened at the SIGGRAPH in New Orleans this August.
On May 9th at 03:00 pm, there’ll be another chance to watch our short “Angel afoot” at the International Trickfilm-Festival in Stuttgart. If you want to meet the team this is a good opportunity, we’ll very probably all be there.
Our latest short “Angel afoot” was runner-up at the Imagina 2009 in Monaco. The film was accompanied by the work of Framestore, Nexus, Passion Pictures and Pixar. Very cool. If you want to watch “Angel afoot” on the big screen your next chance is at the Anima 2009 Festival in Brussels on Monday, February 23th at 5.30 pm and on Tuesday, February 24th at 10.00 pm.
We are happy to hear that “Angel afoot” will take part in the competition at Anima in Brussels, at Imagina in Monte Carlo as well as in the competition of the ITFS, Stuttgart. Exciting.
The episode “Mucksmäuschenstill” of German children’s show “Siebenstein” has won the Emil-Award 2008 for Best Children’s TV-show. The episode was written by Marcus Sauermann and featured Soi’s shortfilm “Engel zu Fuß”, also written by Marcus and directed by Jakob and Saschka. Soi’s latest shortfilm “Angel afoot” (“Engel zu Fuß”) will be screened as part of the Filmschau Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart on December 5th, 09:00 p.m. at EM theater.
