This year a lot of film festivals had to be canceled. That also seemed to apply to Germany’s biggest children’s film festival The Golden Sparrow. A cancellation would have been especially sad for us since three of our films got selected. But thanks to their festival team the bird will finally twitter in the golden summer of Erfurt and Gera 2020 from September 20th to 26th! EPISODE 26: NEW YEAR’S RESCUE REMEDY

Aboard the Mary, preparations are underway for the New Year‘s Eve festivities, when Rasmus shows signs of being ill. The doctor is summoned and announces that he needs sleep to recover, and won‘t be able to join the party after all. But his friends can‘t let him miss out on the fun entirely, and use their ingenuity to send him off to sleep in a truly memorable way.
EPISODE 25: THAT’S THE SPIRIT

The gang visit a former shipmate of Old Salt in the King‘s castle where he lives with his very stern daughter, the princess. While the old friends revisit their youth, spending the night on the Mary, Rasmus and the boys run wild in the castle, determined to lighten the Princess‘s spirits. The old shipmates decide to relive some cat-burgling antics, and soon everyone enters into the spirit of things!
EPISODE 24: A LITTLE SHEEPISH

The Mary docks at Paul‘s island once again, to repair the damaged submarine. When Pingo befriends Lambkin, one of the neighbourhood girls, Rasmus is at a loss. Soon all three are caught up in a competition for Pingo‘s friendship, with him in the uncomfortable role of referee, but feeling like the biggest loser of them all.
EPISODE 23: A THIRSTY MUMMY
While exploring the desert, the boys discover what looks like a pyramid – inhabited by a mummy! But things are not at all what they seem, and their new friend needs help to bring his small oasis back to life.

EPISODE 22: A BRIDGE TOO FAR

A camping trip goes awry when Pingo is attacked with green paint by a scary stranger in the forest. Rasmus vows to get to the bottom of this baffling behaviour by catching the culprits. But first impressions can be false, and soon Rasmus must ask himself if he has gone too far on his quest for the truth.
EPISODE 21: PRIMA SUBMARINA

The Mary‘s crew turn their hands to repairing Paul‘s submarine, so that he can go to a rare performance of the underwater fish ballet. But a silly mishap sends Old Salt off on a not-so-secret mission, and before long events have spiralled out of control. Will poor old Paul ever get to see his beloved ballerinas perform?
EPISODE 20: IT’S KIND OF MAGIC

When renowned magician Hooplahoop sends out invitations to his long-awaited come-back performance, Rasmus sees an opportunity to learn the mysterious secrets of magic. It‘s only a matter of time until Rasmus throws a spanner in the works and has to conjure a way to rescue his friends and the magic show!

For his birthday little Hans wants nothing more than to impress his friends with his first flight – though it certainly doesn‘t come naturally! Before the party‘s over he‘ll learn there are higher things to aspire to.

Pingo is too afraid to join the blueberry hunt in the dark forest, preferring to stay safely on the Mary. But when a scared bunny called Emma stumbles in with tales of a terrifying troll in the woods, he must overcome his fears to save his friends. Can Pingo and Emma both find their inner courage and enter the dark forest to hunt the troll?
EPISODE 17: NOT A PUSHOVER
When a storm separates the Mary and Old Salt from the rest of the crew, the boys take refuge on a nearby island inhabited by Klaus the turtle. Little do they know, he has created a monster. But will it help or hinder them in their mission to reunite with Old Salt?
EPISODE 16: COME AS YOU ARE
The Mary’s crew stop by Pingonesia to visit Pingo’s Grandmother for a very special coming-of-age ceremony. Rasmus abandons etiquette to help Grandmother perform her duty. But will she appreciate his clumsy efforts?

At the soap box race, Rasmus does not want to accept that a soap box needs a brake. And he certainly does not want to drive with a lame soap box in the shape of a snail. Thank goodness Old Salt suddenly has a brilliant idea in store.
