A fleet of christmas-teasers, commisssioned by French/German broadcaster ARTE, about childrens’ wishes for the future will be shown on ARTE and German broadcaster KIKA, beginning 16th of December. Soi produced the 15 clips in collaboration with Cologne-based FEEDMEE.
On Dec. 19th Studio Soi’s Torben Meier and Johannes Weiland will be giving a lecture about Studio Soi at the masterclass of the University of Mannheim.
On nov. 18th, Saschka Unseld and Jakob Schuh will be giving a talk at the Sand 2006 in Swansea about the studio’s doings in the last years.

Steffen Koch of the Deutsche Bahn AG and the directors Johannes Weiland and Saschka Unseld had the honour of receiving the award on nov. 29th.Our gratitude to the jury and the organisers of the event!
After making it into “Animation Magazine” and on the cover of Britain’s TELEVISUAL, “Oli’s Chance” now is featured in the Sept. issue of magazine PAGE, where Saschka, Johannes and Jakob grant an in-depth look at the production of the piece.
“Straße der Spezialistennew publication” is being featured in a lush called SHOWREEL 0.1. The coffeetablebook contains a brim-full DVD, an interview with the directors and loads of fantastic imagery from almost everyone we admire.A book worth buying.
Finally Japan’s very stylish MAC POWER devotes its Oct. issue to “66 movie directors you must know”. Standing there amidst Baumbach, Clooney, Anderson, Glazer, Gondry, Shynola, Psyop and Sean Penn made us feel sort of big in Japan.
“Olis Chance” is nominated for the Cartoon d´Or award and Soi’s managing directors Saschka Unseld and Carsten Bunte will be attending the Cartoon Forum in Pau Pyrenees from September 20th to the 23rd.

Soi’s director Johannes Weiland had the honor to be invited to two of Germany’s most popular TV-Shows for kids. He explained the audience of “Logo” and “Tigerentenclub” how an animated film is created. Watch him share his knowledge on Saturday and Sunday, August 26th and 27th, at a time at 6.30 am and 8.30 am, on German broadcaster ARD. Furthermore on KiKa on Saturday, August 26th at 15.00.
