Soi’s director Johannes Weiland had the honor to be invited to two of Germany’s most popular TV-Shows for kids. He explained the audience of “Logo” and “Tigerentenclub” how an animated film is created. Watch him share his knowledge on Saturday and Sunday, August 26th and 27th, at a time at 6.30 am and 8.30 am, on German broadcaster ARD. Furthermore on KiKa on Saturday, August 26th at 15.00.

Studio Soi is delighted to announce that Soi’s short “Oli’s Chance” was awarded the “Best Children’ Film Award” at this year’s “International Festival of Animated Film, Stuttgart”. The film was commissioned by Deutsche Bahn AG, who we cannot thank enough for their trust, support and commitment to the project.
Between April 27th and May 02nd, Stuttgart will once more celebrate the Trickfilm with it’s “13th International Festival of Animated Film”. Studio Soi will be present for a number of occasions:
Soi’s “Strasse der Spezialisten” will be screened as part of the “International Competition” on Saturday 29th at 10.00 pm (Repeat on Sunday at 10.00 pm).
Our latest, “Oli’s Chance” will be screened on Friday, april 28th at 03.00 pm and on Saturday, 29th at 05.00 pm, and will be competing for the “Prize for the best animated children’s film”.
On Friday 28th at 6.00 pm Saschka Unseld and Jakob Schuh will be giving a talk at the ITFS about the Studio’s doings in the last years.
One episode of Soi’s stop-motion series “Piratengeschichten” will be screened on Sunday, 30th at 12.00, competing in the “Best Animated Series” section.
Soi´s next talk will also be in Stuttgart: On May 04th , as a contribution to the FMX/06, Saschka Unseld and Jakob Schuh will be giving a talk on the rather large subject of “Things we don´t know”.
We are delighted to announce that Soi’s “Torvald und der Tannenbaum” has been nominated for the prestigious Prix Jeunesse this year, competing for “best pre-school programme”.
Soi’s managing director Saschka Unseld will be attending the Cartoon Movie, Potsdam (9.-11.03.06) again this year. Saschka will give a talk there on Friday, march 10th, 11.30. a.m.
On the morning of Dec 25th. 230.000 viewers watched “Torvald und der Tannenbaum” on German broadcaster ZDF. Thanks everyone, this is like Christmas to us.
