Studio Soi’s Director Johannes Weiland has won three major awards at the 2004 edition of IMAGINA. “Annie and Boo” not only picked up the Grand Prix Imagina, but also the Art Direction Award and the Prize for Schools and Universities. Congrats, Jolle!

MARATHON – VON 0 AUF 42 – PRODUCTION HAS STARTED
Studio Soi has started production on the animated effects-sequences for “Marathon-von 0 auf 42”. The 3-part documentary produced by German broadcasters SWR and NDR, follows 7 (rather unlikely) contestants for the New York Marathon on their one-year run from o to 42.
TORVALD: PRODUCTION HAS STARTED
Studio Soi has started production on “TORVALD”, a 7min. Christmas-special about the smallest lumberjack in town, his wife, and the biggest Christmas tree on earth. Commissioned by German broadcaster ZDF, scripted by Marcus Sauermann, and co-directed by Michael Sieber and Jakob Schuh, the (classically animated) tale of love and height will be aired Christmas 2004.

PIRATENGESCHICHTEN – PRODUCTION HAS STARTED
Production has started on “Piratengeschichten”! The 13-part stopmotion TV-series is a coproduction between Studio Soi and Halle-based animationhouse.
