We’re happy to announce that work has started on “The Amazing World of Gumball’s” second season, a collaboration between Cartoon Network Europe and us. Studio Soi, Ludwigsburg is still hiring rendering specialists as well as compositers. Production has started beginning of this year and will last until end of October 2012. On the happy occasion of the recent BAFTA-win of “The Amazing world of Gumball” we thought we’d share with you the show’s opening titles, codirected by show-creator Ben Bocquelet and Soi’s Jakob Schuh. Having been involved in many aspects of the production since its earliest days, we felt particularly honored to be entrusted with this special little ingredient to “The Amazing World of Gumball”.
A sidenote on our own behalf: Work on the second season of “Gumball” will be starting soon, a collaboration between Cartoon Network Europe and us. Studio Soi, Ludwigsburg is currently recruiting flash animators / inbetweeners, who would like to join our team for this. Great news from France: “A Morning Stroll” by our friends at studio aka (directed by lovely Grant Orchard) won the JUNIOR JURY AWARD for a shortfilm, Ben Bocquelet’s “The Amazing World of Gumball” was awarded with the CRYSTAL for BEST TV PRODUCTION for the episode “The Quest” and Studio Soi’s “Das Bild der Prinzessin” was crowned as BEST TV SPECIAL! Congratulations to the teams of all three projects!
For everyone in Germany: “Das Bild der Prinzessin” will premiere this weekend on KI.KA. Watch the film as part of the children’s series Siebenstein at 11:35 a.m. on Sunday, June 19th!

Today we completed work on the Cartoon Network series „The Amazing World of Gumball“. The series was developed by our friend Ben Bocquelet and produced by Dandelion Studios Ltd together with Boulder Media Ltd and Studio Soi.
Soi was involved since the show’s early days, starting from initial tests, working on the show’s Layout/Blocking, modelling, rigging, shading and rendering of the Characters and sets and also contributed the show’s opening titles.
The creative spirit of the whole series and the many good friends we were able to work with made it a wonderful joyride to work on „Gumball“ and we’re looking forward to the wrap party this week in London!
