If you spend your Easter holidays in Germany you’ll be able to watch the premiere of our latest short film “Engel zu Fuss”. The script by Marcus Sauermann was brought into life by directors Jakob Schuh, Saschka Unseld and their team. Thanks to everyone involved! German broadcaster Ki.Ka will show the film as part of their children’s TV-show “Siebenstein” on Sunday, March 23rd at 08:55 a.m.
Congratulation to Toby Genkel and his team for completing their trailer for the feature “Sandman” just in time for the Cartoon-Movie in Potsdam. Soi contributed the sets for the stop motion production.
Soi has finished it’s work on a traditionally animated commercial for Fraport AG and Publicis Frankfurt featuring the “Eintracht Adler”. The piece was designed and directed by Michael Sieber.
Directors Saschka Unseld and Jakob Schuh gave a talk at the 9th Forum International des Technologies de l’Animation (FITA) in Anglouleme on December 7th entitled “Briefs, le processus du pitch et la vie en production au quotidien”.
Director’s Saschka-San and Jakob-San had the pleasure to visit the Tokio Filmfestival and give a talk about Soi’s most recent projects. Big thanks to Hiromi Ito, who made it possible for us to be there!
Jakob and Saschka were honoured to be invited to present Studio Soi’s work at this year’s Pictoplasma Conference in Berlin from November 22nd to 25th.
The 14th KROK International Animated Film Festival took place from September 25th until October 6th on the cruiser “Taras Shevchenko” traveling from Odessa through Sevastopol, Yalta to Kyiv. Director Saschka Unseld was on board as well as Soi’s shortfilm “Oli’s Chance”.
“Olis Chance” will be shown at the SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival, between August 5th and 9th in the Animation Theater.
“Olis Chance” is part of this year’s Ars Electronica Festival and will be shown between the 5th and 11th of September in Linz, Austria.
“Ernst in Autumn” and “Olis Chance” will be running in this years KROK International Animated Film Festival from the 25th of September to the 6th of October.
“Olis chance” is running at the Giffoni Festival in Italy between the 12th and the 21st of September in the Free to Fly Competition.
“OLIS CHANCE” has been awarded the prize of “Special Distinction for the Best TV Series and Special” in the TV and Commissioned Film category of SICAF2007 official Competition. Director Saschka Unseld received the award when he visited the festival in Seoul, South Korea.
