Directors Saschka Unseld and Jakob Schuh gave a talk at the 9th Forum International des Technologies de l’Animation (FITA) in Anglouleme on December 7th entitled “Briefs, le processus du pitch et la vie en production au quotidien”.
Director’s Saschka-San and Jakob-San had the pleasure to visit the Tokio Filmfestival and give a talk about Soi’s most recent projects. Big thanks to Hiromi Ito, who made it possible for us to be there!
Jakob and Saschka were honoured to be invited to present Studio Soi’s work at this year’s Pictoplasma Conference in Berlin from November 22nd to 25th.
The 14th KROK International Animated Film Festival took place from September 25th until October 6th on the cruiser “Taras Shevchenko” traveling from Odessa through Sevastopol, Yalta to Kyiv. Director Saschka Unseld was on board as well as Soi’s shortfilm “Oli’s Chance”.
“Olis Chance” will be shown at the SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival, between August 5th and 9th in the Animation Theater.
“Olis Chance” is part of this year’s Ars Electronica Festival and will be shown between the 5th and 11th of September in Linz, Austria.
“Ernst in Autumn” and “Olis Chance” will be running in this years KROK International Animated Film Festival from the 25th of September to the 6th of October.
“Olis chance” is running at the Giffoni Festival in Italy between the 12th and the 21st of September in the Free to Fly Competition.
“OLIS CHANCE” has been awarded the prize of “Special Distinction for the Best TV Series and Special” in the TV and Commissioned Film category of SICAF2007 official Competition. Director Saschka Unseld received the award when he visited the festival in Seoul, South Korea.

We are happy to announce that Soi’s newest short “Ernst im Herbst” was runner-up at the “Best Children’ Film Award” at this year’s “International Festival of Animated Film, Stuttgart”. Congratulations to the directors Jakob Schuh and Michael Sieber and the whole team!
At the Promax 2007 in Berlin Klaus Morscheuser and his team received gold for last year’s christmas campaign for ARTE as the best themed campaign.
You have the chance to watch how we turned grumpy Ernst into life at the children’s tv-show “Tigerentenclub”. Tune in on Saturday the 9th of June at 3 pm on KIKA and Soi’s Klaus Morschheuser will give you an inside look into the production.
Soi’s next talk will be held in Stuttgart on May 04th at 5pm, as a contribution to the FMX/07, Saschka Unseld and Jakob Schuh will elaborate on the subject of “Things we still don’t know”.
