David Tennant did a podcast with James Corden. When asked if his children liked that he did voice acting on Trolls, James replied: “They love that I’m in Trolls, they like that I’m Peter Rabbit. Nothing has ever. ..nothing has ever stumped the Gruffalo, I don’t think. ‘Cause that’s… just, you know… a very … yeah: That’s lovely. And I think my youngest daughter is about to discover that quite soon.” It’s so nice that those two films still have a place in his heart and we loved hearing him mentioning it. The way he talks about it is worth listening to rather than reading it.

SPILAMBERTO – MODENA
On July, 22 there was a double feature screening of the Gruffalo and Gruffalo’s Child in Spilamberto, Italy. Ludwigsburg’s media representative Tannino Bellanca kindly sent us photos of the event. And here’s an Italian summary from the catalogue:

LUNAR ECLIPSE
A partial lunar eclipse will take place on 16th to 17th of July 2019. An event that also has quite an impact on Trude’s flatmate. If Tier cannot stay awake and falls asleep during a lunar eclipse he will wake up in a totally different location – possibly at a place where he cannot return to Trude. They might not ever see each other again! TRUDE GOES CAMPING
Sleeping in a tent is fun. When setting up the tend however, Trude and her flatmate end up in a quarrel. He feels hurt and wants to leave for good. Can Trude fix his hurt feelings?
This episode will be shown on German broadcaster das ERSTE on June, 6th at 9:20 am and air it again at 11:30 am the same day on KIKA. The episode is part of the children’s show “Sendung mit der Maus”.

ODE
In the summer 2018 the Ministry of Justice and for Europe Baden-Württemberg together with the International Trickfilm-Festival Stuttgart (ITFS) / Film- und Medienfestival gGmbH initiated a competition for students, postgraduate and start-ups in Baden-Württemberg to produce a short film that celebrates the European idea and union. Director Shadi Adib developed a pitch together with her companion Michael Logar and got selected. Shadi decided to produce her film together with Studio Soi. Ode had its premiere at the International Trickfilmfestival in Stuttgart on April 30th 2019.

TRUDE SPECIAL
On Sunday, October 14th, another episode of Trude’s Flatemate is going to be screened on german broadcaster “Das Erste” at 9:10 am and on “KIKA” at 11:30 am. The episode is part of a “Sendung mit der Maus”-special about children with a mental disorder. Trude’s flatmate is running around the hospital, looking for a plaster for a very tiny scratch on his finger. He meets a little boy who tells him about his problem with an invisible illness.
Trude’s flatmate does not understand a word. But in the end, in his very unique way, Trudes flatmate is the reason why the boy is feeling a little bit better.

EPISODE 26: NEW YEAR’S RESCUE REMEDY

Aboard the Mary, preparations are underway for the New Year‘s Eve festivities, when Rasmus shows signs of being ill. The doctor is summoned and announces that he needs sleep to recover, and won‘t be able to join the party after all. But his friends can‘t let him miss out on the fun entirely, and use their ingenuity to send him off to sleep in a truly memorable way.
EPISODE 25: THAT’S THE SPIRIT

The gang visit a former shipmate of Old Salt in the King‘s castle where he lives with his very stern daughter, the princess. While the old friends revisit their youth, spending the night on the Mary, Rasmus and the boys run wild in the castle, determined to lighten the Princess‘s spirits. The old shipmates decide to relive some cat-burgling antics, and soon everyone enters into the spirit of things!
EPISODE 24: A LITTLE SHEEPISH

The Mary docks at Paul‘s island once again, to repair the damaged submarine. When Pingo befriends Lambkin, one of the neighbourhood girls, Rasmus is at a loss. Soon all three are caught up in a competition for Pingo‘s friendship, with him in the uncomfortable role of referee, but feeling like the biggest loser of them all.
EPISODE 23: A THIRSTY MUMMY
While exploring the desert, the boys discover what looks like a pyramid – inhabited by a mummy! But things are not at all what they seem, and their new friend needs help to bring his small oasis back to life.
