Production has started here on the second season “Piratengeschichten” with Soi’s Torben Meier and french whizkid Eli Chapuis animating away until July 2006.

PRODUCTION MEETING IN SPAIN
From Oct. 27th to Oct. 30th Soi director Saschka Unseld will be attending the “german/ co-production meeting” in Cordoba, Spain.

Soi’s “Torvald und der Tannenbaum” will be screened at the 22nd Annual Chicago International Children’s Film Festival On Nov. 2nd / 09.45am.
SCREENINGS IN KILKENNY
The Feile Beochan Irish Animation Festival in Kilkenny (Sept. 1st through 4th 2005) will show both “Strasse der Spezialisten” and “Torvald und der Tannenbaum” this year.

Soi’s short “Strasse der Spezialisten” will be shown at the Edinburgh International Filmfestival on Friday, Aug. 19th.
“TORVALD UND DER TANNENBAUM” HAS WON A “GOLDENER SPATZ”

“TORVALD UND DER TANNENBAUM” SELECTED FOR “GOLDENER SPATZ”
We’re proud to hear that Soi’s “Torvald und der Tannenbaum”, a special for German Broadcaster ZDF has been selected for Germany’s ”GoldenerSpatz”. The “Goldener Spatz”, Germany’s most prestigious Children’s Film Festival takes place biannually in Gera and Erfurt. The screenings of “Torvald” will be on April, 25th at 9.00 am in Gera, and on May, 5th at 9.00am in Erfurt.
SOI AT THE INTERNATIONAL ANIMATED FILM FESTIVAL IN ANNECY
The results for the official selection of the International Animated Film Festival in Annecy have been announced. We are proud to see that “Annie and Boo” by Soi’s represented director Johannes Weiland will be shown in the students’ competition. Soi’s 2004 short “Strasse der Spezialisten” will be screened within the panorama and “Torvald und der Tannenbaum” by Michael Sieber and Jakob Schuh can be seen in the TV-special section.
SCREENING OF “THE STORK”
Our shortfilm “The Stork” will be screened on german television (WDR) on Tuesday the 5th of April 2005.
TALK AT THIS YEAR’S CARTOON MOVIE IN POTSDAM
Director and Studio Soi’s head of design, Jakob Schuh is giving a talk at this year’s Cartoon Movie in Potsdam. He will be around from Thursday the 10th to Saturday, the 12th in case you want to meet and chat.
“STRASSE DER SPEZIALISTEN” AT THE “BERLINALE”
Soi’s shortfilm “Strasse der Spezialisten” will be shown at the Berlin International Filmfestival “Berlinale” from February the 10th to February the 20th. It is part of the ongoing Installation “Wörterbuch der Sinne”. Screening times are daily from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 pm. At the “St. Johannis Evangelis Kirche”, Auguststrasse 90. One of the directors, Jakob Schuh, will be present at the festival from February the 10th to February, the 12th.
BUNNIES AT NEW YORK CITY’S TIMES SQUARE
Soi’s “Bunnies” is screened on the worlds largest outside screen at New York City’s Times Square. MTV US is presenting the clip as part of their “Art Break” project. The screening will continue throughout 2005 ! This project is accomponite by a book publication.
