TROLL TRAP ON TV

In our short film ‘The Troll Trap’ little Smilla catches a troll in the mountains. But when she sets him free again, he refuses to go away! Cotton candy bait is way too delicious! You can watch the short film this Sunday on the German show Siebenstein at 10:40 am on KIKA if you want to learn how to catch a troll, but also how to become friends with one. Or two.

AFTER A WEEK FULL OF ANIMATION…

(photography by Martin Zentner)

We are looking back upon a full week dedicated to the animated films at this year’s Festival of Animated Film in Stuttgart (ITFS). Besides the festival premiere of ‘Trude’s Tier’ (‘Trude’s Flatmate’) and several screenings of ‘Trolltag’ (‘The Troll Trap’), ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’  has been awarded with a Screenplay Trickstar for Best Children’s Animated Series. Klaus Morschheuser and Mathias Schreck attend the ceremony on behalf of Cartoon Network Europe. The Jury’s explanation: ‘We chose this film because of its highly original visual style, its whacky, energetic comedic timing and its heart-warming story that appeals to both kids and adults. Well done!’

Congratulations to the whole team!

IT’S A SOI WEEKEND ON TV AND IN STUTTGART

Trude lives together with a big obscure beast, which has the power of an elephant, the brashness of a child, but not a clue what’s good manners… ‘Trudes Tier’ (Trude’s Flatmate), directed by Klaus Morschheuser, Johannes Weiland and Michael Bohnenstingl and designed by Sandra Brandstätter and Sebastian Koch, is our latest tv-series project for the children’s tv show ‘Die Sendung mit der Maus’. The episodes will have their tv premiere on Das Erste / KIKA on 27th of April, 4th of May and 11th of May at 11:30 am.

CREATING BJÖRN

Here are some impressions of how the character ‘Björn’ from ‘Trolltag’ came to life. Sandra Brandstätter made the design, Klaus Morschheuser created the clay-model and Christian Höhn took care of the shading.

Thanks to the whole team for working with us on the film.

THIS SUNDAY IS TROLL DAY

A few weeks ago, we already posted a little teaser of our latest shortfilm by Klaus Morschheuser and Johannes Weiland. This Sunday, September 15th, ‘Trolltag’ (Troll Day) has its German TV premiere. It is part of the children’s TV show ‘Siebenstein’ starting at 10:35 on ZDF KIKA.

SNEAK PEAK

Here are two pictures of one of our current projects. Directed by Johannes Weiland and Klaus Morschheuser, designed by Sandra Brandstätter, the film is about trials and tribulations of a girl, a mountaintop and a lion in a ballet tutu.

It will have its premiere this autumn within the ZDF kids series ‘Siebenstein’.
